Costa Rica

In February 2017, Lee’s Upper School students visited this unique Hispanic country and explored its culture, wildlife, natural resources and environmental protection efforts. Students traveled to several beautiful parks, experienced volcanoes, waterfalls, bio-diverse rain-forests and an abundance of wildlife. There were also physical activities, such as white water rafting, canopy zip lines and bathing in thermal springs. Most importantly, students learned about the culture through contact with the locals, eating typical meals and participating in folkloric activities.
